how is everyone doing? I hope everyone is well. today's post is a bunch'o sketches and a looong awaited portrait for my dear ole college chum, the talented mr. joeseph mcfarlane young. Him and I go way back. although I don't see him nowadays, I hold my friendship with him dear to me. We were in acting class together, and along with my other friends in class, had a blast. 'specially us. we would just to the craziest acts in front of everyone...something I would of never done before....lol sooooo.....fast forward to the present. I promised him a drawing for awhile now.....and here it finally is my friend. I hope you like it =)

how is everyone doing out there. came back from trip. Just came back a few days ago and had a blast! Went through seven states and gotta say it was some beautiful country. I got a few ideas from this trip alone that I will draw and post sometime later. anywhoo.....

today's post is of a older lady that I had seen a couple weeks ago before the trip. It's a memory sketch of her. When I saw her, i was like, "dannnng! gramma has some style!" she was crossing the street and looked strong as a goat....and although she was older she seem she still was showing her individualism, young spirit and style. lol you go girl!

also, I have finish my moleskine sketchbook a few weeks ago. all were sketches and doodles. not really any finish pieces and that. usually all my sketchbooks are like that, not really getting all detail or whatnot, just practicing, not worrying about making it pretty. just letting loose. =) I'm rambling now so i'll get to the post

Hola Amigos and Amigas!

How is everyone doing? I hope everyone had a great weekend. So, my family and I, all last week were doing some spring cleaning....wait...hardcore spring cleaning, like getting a big ole dumpster and throwing alot of stuff away, and donating alot of old clothes to the salvation army. anywhoo...we decided to take a trip to vegas to unwind and chill. I for one do not gamble but do love the environment. so long walks and observing people was loads of fun. people talk some crazy stuff when they are drunk. lol

so...me and my twin brother Wesley...yes i have one and he is identical (although ever since school I gained a little weight) when back in the room, decided to do a tag team drawing that we didn't do in awhile. Wes is an awesome artist and is the reason I am drawing today. I remember back in the day he loved to draw a lot and I noticed that he got some good attention for that....now, I'm not saying I was neglected growing up, mind you lol, I was loved by my parents hehehe but when he drew, my little ass got jealous so I drew too hahaha.

Fast forward to the future, He still remains to draw (beautifully might I add) to this day. His style is way different than mine but got some mad mad skillz and I admire his style tremendously. He is a bit shy showing his stuff. but maybe someday i'll snap some pictures when he's not looking and post it here hehehe. anywhoo, hope you likes and I'll be posting frequently soon my peeps!

My Friend Tony

Hola amigos and amigas,

How is everyone doing? it's been quite a month for this m00k. Most importantly being the death of one of my good friend's at my day job at the art store. My old buddy Tony that I was talking about in the previous posts from West Virgina, sadly passed away last Wednesday. I worked with Tony for well over ten years at the store. The first person I worked with and grew to admire. He was a tough old goat and a person who would tell you what he thought. I used to love getting stories outta him about his life back home, i could tell it always brought a smile to his face when he talked about the past. The Lakers was always a favorite topic to talk about and comparing all the players over time.

He always looked out for me and cared about my well being. When I went back to school to get my degree in animation, he would always ask my girlfriend how I was doing and made sure I was doing good in school. When I finally graduated he was so proud of me. Tony didn't want me to stay at the store forever. He wanted me to do something with my life...something better. As the year pass after graduating, he notice I was bummed that I didn't get a gig yet. He told me to hang in there, you'll get something wayne. everyday passed and I was getting sick of the store, as well as Tony. I was losing hope believe it or not..and my buddy Tony was getting sicker and sicker health wise. about a month ago he didn't show up to work, and we found out at the store that he was rushed to an i.c.u at a hospital. Unfortunately, all of us did not get to visit him before he passed.

when I went to his viewing, His wife said to me, "oh, your Wayne! He always talks about you. he said you are his artist friend. He told me to tell you, to stick with it kid." I teared up of course, but realized to myself, that I gotta jump back on the horse and make this happen. Tony? I know you're up there man. thanks for that last push. I won't let you down.

how is everyone doing? Hope everything is going swell with all of you! Today I will be sharing a few more random sketches I did in my brown book. Sometimes I feel like i draw more better on toned paper, I don't know...I guess I love the whole feel of it, the white prismacolor pencil popping of the page, the different tones I get by using my black pencil, feels more artsy ya know heh. I guess I'm just a wannabe fine arteest! aw well......

Anywhoo, Guess what happened to me? So I was checking out the Character Design blog, and read one of the post about the awesome character designer and story artist David Coleman having a app of his new sketchbook on the ITUNES app store. It said that the first two people who emails David and mention that they read it on the blog will get the app for free....and guess who got it? that's right baby, I WAS ONE OF THE TWO!!!!! hahaha David emailed me later that night, right when I was gonna hit the sack saying I won. I was so stoked!

It's an awesome little app that has 38 pages of watercolor stuff and a step by step on his process. So if you are a fan of his work I totally recommend it.

how is everyone doing? Finally got around to post something. whew! I've been working on honing my somewhat skills. this time more personality and fluidity into my stuff. more storytelling I guess. haha although this particular post I do not show any of that!!! *face palm* ....I will be showing that in the future.

so what i'm showing tonight is a pic of an old man named ole dead eye zeek, with a shotgun ready to gitter done! i know i know, what's up with the old people with guns wayne?!? *shrugs* i based this one on my old friend and co-worker Tony at my day job at the art store. He's a pistol let me tell you. I love picking his brain and getting old stories from him. He's from West Virgina and does not take crap from no one. haha love that guy

next piccys i'm throwing up is a background for an animation i did for my girl for valentines. it's been awhile since i did a animation and let alone a lipsync!! wooo, i'm actually proud of the that part heh. and lastly a painting on my ipod touch done over break at the job

Thunder god on the eve of a new year

Ah yes the end of another year, and new and better year to come! Happy New year to everyone! whether it is 2010 already or not where you are from, I hope you guys have a blast and wish a prosperous and joyful one to you and your love ones.

And to that a post by moi! I done did up the thunder god Thor. I have been into drawing marvel super heroes lately. I guess because I have always dreamed of being a comic penciller.
