Hola amigos and amigas!

How's everyone doing today? So everything with my daughter is going well so far. Today is her seventh day of life. Been taking her to the doctors back and forth this whole week, because of her jaundice that she had when she was born. So far so good, and tomorrow hopefully will be her last visit in awhile. It's been crazy sleep schedule wise...I thought being and artist with no sleep is tough...but adding a newborn in the equation?!?! Wowza!!!! Haha

I feel like my sudden energy drop is affecting my stuff..but I'm sure I will adjust soon enough and post more substantial work up in here. Just want to thank you guys for sticking in there and watching the daily post. Big props to other artist out there who did similar daily posting craziness, and actually completed it :)

So I had to pause the everyday sketch project for my daughter being born!!! Her name is Tegan Leigh Medina and she was born March 22, 2012. 7.8 lbs 18 inches!!!! Big shout out to my brotha, Ivan Aguirre for posting my sketch for me last post. I had no way of posting so I sent the pic to him to post for me.

Today I will be posting the past five days of sketches I did for the book. Day 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13.

Next post I'll be on track and I'll talk a little more about my daughter!!

Hola amigos and amigas!!!

So we went to the doctors today, and my girl is going to be induced tomorrow morning, to get my daughter outta there :) Pretty excited about it and witnessing a miracle in front of my eyes. The thought of finally hearing her cry is gonna be something I will remember forever :)

On to the post! Tonight I tried doing some kind o'story. nothing to crazy mind you...just practicing my weak points in my art. The "scene" I sketched out is when guys go to use the bathroom....and that awkward moment when you go..someone starts to talk to you haha...pretty tough for some people heh!

Anywhoo....Let me tell ya....the space they give you inside the sketchbook is hella small...I love drawing pretty big...so drawing small is something I got to get used to..so the outcome is eh...but it'll do for now.

Also just posting random other stuff...btw...really love...LOVE, my brushpen. Gonna try to get better at that..too bad I cant use it in my One sketch a day book...paper's too thin.....okay...I'm blabbing now...got to get some sleep for the big day tomorrow...wish us luck y'all!

Hola everyone!

So...no baby yet...she really making me anxious lol! Luckily we have a doctors appointment on Wednesday...hopefully from this time until then, she'll make her entrance to the world.

Now for the post.

First, just gotta say that this particular one was really frustrating me tonight. I found myself thinking way too hard about it, and it really affected the outcome. Erasing a whole bunch o'times and sketching over and over again. I think this is good for me though. It'll teach me to have a simple idea coming into it, rather than freestyling and erasing so much. Committing to an idea and running with it. Being loose and have fun. I told you, bad or good I'm posting the sketches.....Anywhoo......

One sketch a day...Project: QUEST! Day 1

Hola Everyone!

So my girl and I went to the bookstore and she ended up buying me a neat little sketchbook by chronicle books called "One Sketch a Day". It basically has 365...well 366 to be exact, blank spaces where you can sketch. Plus it has the day number and a place where you can date.

Anywhoo, she bought it for me to get out of a little drawing funk. This would probably do it, and it'll be good for me to post the sketch each day on this blog. Good or bad it'll get posted up in here...Never tried to post everyday...but I think it would do some good. Let's get this crazy thing going and I'll hope you enjoy the ride.....oh and update! Hopefully My daughter will be born this weekend...her due date is on saturday...so if I don't post...have a heart and take it easy on me eh? ;) I kid...I'll post it up!

Oh and I'm posting up some sketches I did on the side!

Lil mook is coming!

Hola Everyone!

So...I'm gonna be a Dad any day now! I totally forgot to mention that on ye ole blog here lol! My daughter should be arriving any day now, according to our doctor my girl I went to this morning. So about two weeks ago we had a babyshower and was asked to do the invitation. Today I'll be sharing with you the pencils and the colors. Also I'll be sharing a quick freestyle painting I did. Gotta learn how to paint more...and environments as well.

Also Still trying to figure out little things here and there about selling my book on here. For those waiting to buy the book and are going to buy outside the United States, I know the shipping is going to be bananas....I'll throw in some original sketches and stuff for your trouble...how's that sound?

Getting back on mah sketchy feet

Hola Amigos and Amigas!

How is everyone doing? So after my last post about last month ago, I fell back ill again. I had some kind'o infection from my chest and sinus.....deathly I tell ya, and all that time no drawing..Sad times :(

I'm finally back fully healthy(I hope) and ready to go! Tonight I'll be sharing with you some sketches I did last night. After sketching for a long time to get the rust out, I'm fairly happy how they turned out.

Hola Cola Amigos and Amigas!

So it's been a week and some change since CTN and I'm still recouping from all the madness. The experience was just awesome, and to finally meet all my blog pals like gabby zapata, jez tuya, issac orloff, oscar rosales, justin rodrigues, andre medina, benoit therriault and countless others, it was great...thank you guys :) Spoke with a lot of faces old and new and chatted with my bro and table mate ivan aguirre...which by the way had some awesome prints..let me say again....AWESOME! His painting so good, makes you wanna slap yo mama! Haha! Lastly thanks too all who have purchased my book or even just to talk shop and just chat....thank you deeply :)

Anywhoo, Just wanted to post that I am alive. Making a book is no joke...drove me literally Sick. I mean really sick haha. My hat tip to the guys who manage to self publish books, while working a job. Big ups to ya....I did not have a full time gig, while doing the book...I can only just imagine *shivers* If you have any questions where I printed or anything, feel free to shoot me an email and I'll answer the best I can.

Now for some piccy's eh? So tonight I'll be sharing the colored version of the spidey pic I drew two post below, some brush pen sketch in my moleyskine and a awesome little animation of my Eddy B. Venom design I did a while ago by my awesome pal jess jerome.

It's been way to long my friends! For the past Few months, I've been really been busy putting a little sketchbook together for CTN Expo. It's a 10 X 8 landscape book with 32 pages of random sketches, doodles, and doodads for your viewing pleasure..all for $15 smackaroos!!!!!
