First posty of the year, and I wanna wish all of us a fantastic year and peace on earth! Now let's get into my lame excuses of not posting lol. well, it's like this........there is none! I've been lazy! lol Now now, don't get me wrong. After work at the studio, I do draw. But finding the time to scan and post is tough. But...I'm gonna try and be a good blogger citizen and find that time.

Anyhwoo! how are all of you? I hope everything is well with you guys. For this m00k, everything has been keen for this lima bean. Since working at six point, it's been a blast. Just surrounded by so much talent is just incredible, and getting to be challenged and pushing my skills everyday is making me more and more hungry to learn and grow as much as I can while I'm there.

Well enough of my talk let's get down to the posty. I am happy to announce to you guys that some of the cards have made it to there new homes =) Thanks to Gabby, George and Patrick for taking the pictures in Florida, London, and Germany. The next batch of cards are coming to the next winners as soon as I get envelopes. I did five more cards way back in November and finally got to share it with you. TJ, Chenny and my deviantart friend in Turkey are getting cards. Chenny and TJ just hold on tight guys.

How's' everyone doing out there? Me? Well......I would like to say *ahem* I finally got a job in the animation biznaz! YESSIREEE!!!! I am a character layout artist at Six Point Harness Animation Studios in the Heart of Hollywood! Thanks to my good friend Ivan for getting my work to one of the producers there. I've been working There since last monday. I get to work with one cool cat Director in Joel Trussell, and an awesome crew. So yeah the journey continues for this mook here =)

Anywhoo, let's post some stuff now! So, before I got the job at Six Point, I was working on some ideas on my graphic novels. One being ROCKETBABY. A story that has, punk music!, ufo's!, shadow governments!, extraterrestrial beings! love! and some ford edsals! yep...edsals, all mixed up together. I'll give you a run down of each character in future post. but today I share a mock cover. Let me know what you think. The colors I found out are a little different from my mac to pc, it sucks but what can i do eh?

Oh and I sent the cards to the winners. I have also decided to give some cards to three lucky ladies. since the last raffle it was all dudes and I thought it would be nice to give to the ladies as well. Those ladies are, TJ Lubrano, Gabby Zapata and Chenny Curtis.

Hola Dear Amigos and Amigas!!!

whaddup? It's been a hot minute hasn't it? Early morning posting. My apologies for the brief pause my friends =) Hope Everyone had a nice weekend and Halloween. First and foremost, the winners of the sketchcards. They will come my friends. I promise you, you may hate me until they come heh =) I have only three out of the five that responded to the emails I've sent out. So I'll send out to the other two again. If I don't get a response outta either of them, I'm afraid I'll will have to pick other mookies out of the hat.

Now for the sketchy post, just some stuff I've been sketching around here and there from the past few months. These made the cut. One in particular is a sketch of me when I was a boy in the eighties. My twin and I loved legos. *ahem* Let me iterate that again. We LOOOOOOOOOOVE LEGOS!!!!!....HOLLLLY STUFF YES WE DO! LOL! Other than drawing all the time, we loved creating stuff with the little plastic pieces. we'd make stuff and name each of our lego peeps, and have stories and places to go. awesome memories I must say.

Anywhoo, yes...that's me with the bowl cut. what of it huh? I had my lego all in a blanket from korean air, that I got when we went to the philippines when we were young, and I would put the blanket with legos in a cardboard box that I would lug around the house lol Anyhow one of the personal projects i'm working on is my autobiography comic that i want to do. You say...isn't that kinda too much? a litte bigheaded drawing about yourself? I would say no. If you have something to say and had a life like me and my bro, why not? I look up to a lot of autobio comic artist, such as jeffery brown, craig thompson, and the likes. And just the intimacy they have to share their life just speaks to me, and still does. I look at art as not only sharing cool drawings and stuff, but to share it like a second voice...an opinion that you believe in. So yeah, the sketch is one of the first I did. I'm working on the look of the book, and I hope to share more in the future.

Other sketchys are studies of people on the blog the sartorialist. I love fashion. I won't go as far to say I'm a fashionista or anything lol...well my bro is, but I like styles. It's another creative outlet that I enjoy looking at and get inspired, whatelse.....tree studies and blah blah blah....I gotta post lol

it's good to blog again and i'll be rejoining the blogosphere to blog it up like the best of them. y'all have fun out there ya hear!

So....The card made it, and found it's new home in Holland! WooHoo! Such a joy when My new buddy Arjan sent me some piccys of the little guy. Honestly speaking I almost teared up in joy, finally seeing it. Hahaha it's like my kid and I sent him off! The neat thing about this was that Arjan apologized that he didn't take the pic at the famous mills of Kinderdijk, instead at a mill by his home where he got married at! Personally I think that that story is wonderful and more personal. Anywhoo I'm glad you like the sketchcard man, and thank you thank you thank you for being the 100th.

Now...it begins. THE SMILE IT UP RAFFLE. So who's gonna get the next skechcard eh? beats me! but I thought to myself, why not have more than one winner? So here's the low down. 5 of you MOOKIES will get to win. yep 5! I'm thinking i'll do this once in awhile until all of you get one. At first I was gonna just give all of you guys free sketchcards, but that would be nuts lol. This way should be easier. For me that is =) So i'll get all you mooks name in a hat and pick out the lucky five. Once you get picked, you simply email me confirming you are still alive or following lol. How is everyone doing? So a quick post of the free sketch card that i'm going to send out to one Mr. Arjan Wilschut. Did this bad boy on my infamous brown sketchbook cut down to sketch card size. It felt really good to do traditional stuff, which btw I used prisma markers/pencils, col erase pencil and my trusty ol brush pen. I'm thinking of drawing more of these little dudes and sell them off for a fair price. others i'm gonna send off to one of you guys when I hold the raffle thing.

Anywhoo, took some dorky pictures just to show you what i'm sending off, and asked if Arjan when he receives the card, to take a picture of it in his homeland of the netherlands. I thought it would be neat to see. He not only agreed to my nerdy request, he said he would take it near some mills by his home....how cool is that?!?! ahem well, i'm gonna geek out now peoples! I will be posting soon

NEWS....FLASH AND THE 100th FOLLOWER!

Yesterday this blog got it's 100th follower! *claps* it's an honor to have so many of you guys follow this thing. a whole bunch of you seen me grow and continue to grow with my art and my journey to the animation biznaz. I am thankful to all of you and your continuing support and interest for MOOKSVILLE. Thank you. =)

So who the heck is the 100th follower you ask? His name is Arjan Wilschut. He's an animator/illustrator outta the Netherlands. Dope stuff might I add so check him out. Anywhoo, this lucky dude who decided to follow (beats me) and be the 100th will receive a sketch card of original art drawn by me. Hope you like whatever I send man. lol

and for all the other mookies out there saying aw man I want a sketch card!!!! don't fret, i'm thinking about holding a raffle or something...i don't know lol

onto the post. so I done did up the flash. i'm kinda half and half on how it turned out, but it's okay, wanted to get in a post. I can draw another one anyways. other piccy is outta my moleskinny. The dude with the big ass soda jug is an actual memory sketch of a real person at the mall. He just amazed me with his look, first of all...with slicked to the side hair and long 'stache and the gi'normous!!!!! i mean friggin flippin huge mug. I didn't see it at first until.....BAM! he lifted it up and started slurppin from the straw. My mouth dropped! So I had to sketch the dude up.

well that's it for me. I gotta go to the DMV tomorrow to renew my license, so I need my beauty sleep :p thanks again mah peoples!

How is everyone doing? I for one am doing pretty good. Actually got to do some Freelance work.....FINALLY! Woohoo! Of course I can't show anything yet until the NDA's are lifted, but hopefully eventually I'll get to share. Sooooo whaddaya guys think about the new look of my blog...thumbs up? down? wanna puke? let me know =)

Anywhoo, here's some stuff I worked on recently. one is my profile pic. wanted to do a new one since my birthday is coming up this saturday, so naturally I added a rad looking b-day hat designed of a blue pencil. Another is a Aquaman drawing that I myself think looks pretty good. although i wish i added a lil more elements...whatevs, oh and I noticed I don't draw a lot of DC characters and needed to give some love to them. and lastly a little doodle of a boy and a football, this was drawn so i can push more on doing more poses rather than the static stand pose. Gotta push forward with that.

Well, again hope everyone is doing well and i'll keep pushin!

how is everyone doing? I hope everyone is well. today's post is a bunch'o sketches and a looong awaited portrait for my dear ole college chum, the talented mr. joeseph mcfarlane young. Him and I go way back. although I don't see him nowadays, I hold my friendship with him dear to me. We were in acting class together, and along with my other friends in class, had a blast. 'specially us. we would just to the craziest acts in front of everyone...something I would of never done before....lol sooooo.....fast forward to the present. I promised him a drawing for awhile now.....and here it finally is my friend. I hope you like it =)

how is everyone doing out there. came back from trip. Just came back a few days ago and had a blast! Went through seven states and gotta say it was some beautiful country. I got a few ideas from this trip alone that I will draw and post sometime later. anywhoo.....

today's post is of a older lady that I had seen a couple weeks ago before the trip. It's a memory sketch of her. When I saw her, i was like, "dannnng! gramma has some style!" she was crossing the street and looked strong as a goat....and although she was older she seem she still was showing her individualism, young spirit and style. lol you go girl!

also, I have finish my moleskine sketchbook a few weeks ago. all were sketches and doodles. not really any finish pieces and that. usually all my sketchbooks are like that, not really getting all detail or whatnot, just practicing, not worrying about making it pretty. just letting loose. =) I'm rambling now so i'll get to the post
